GEMPAK 6.7.0 Released

GEMPAK 6.7.0 is now available at the download page https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/gempak/

Updates include new grib tables, further migration support for AWIPS2, updated maps, high-res OSCAT data support, GDDIAG bug fix and a fix to dcncprof for OS X.

OGC adopts netCDF Enhanced Data Model Extension Standard

The Open Geospatial Consortium membership has approved the Enhanced Data Model Extension to the OGC Network Common Data Form (netCDF) Core Encoding Standard. The OGC has previously approved the netCDF Core Encoding Standard, the netCDF Binary Encoding Extension Standard-netCDF Classic, and the 64-bit Offset Format. All of the OGC's netCDF standards documents are available for free download from the OGC network Common Data Forum (netCDF) standards suite page.

Overview of New Features in IDV 3.1

Description

IDV 3.1 was released recently. Some of the major new features in this release include simplified capture of multi-view images and movies, enhanced labeling of latitude and longitude lines in map displays, and a new Time Matching feature that allows you to create a seamless animation of multiple displays whose data were collected at different time steps. LDM 6.11.0

Version 6.11.0 of the LDM package has been released.

The main new feature of this minor release is the addition of a transitory database of information on local upstream LDM processes. The database is transitory because it only exists while an LDM server is running. The database is primarily used to determine whether or not an incoming data-request duplicates or otherwise overlaps with an existing data-request from the same downstream host. If it does, then the request will be rejected.
