Unidata releases AWIPS II 15.1.2

Unidata EDEX and CAVE version 15.1.2 are now available.
Our cloud-based data server (edex-cloud.unidata.ucar.edu) has been updated to the latest build and is serving a larger set of data than before, including a subset of MRMS grids.

The NetCDF-Java/Common Data Model (CDM) library and THREDDS Data Server (TDS) version 4.6.4 were released on February 12th, 2016. The development team recommends this upgrade for anyone using the CDM or TDS.

If you are upgrading from 14.2.1 to 14.4.1, it is required that you completely uninstall your 14.2.1 instance before installing 14.4.1, to ensure that all required packages are installed (there were some updates to package names and release numbers that may cause conflict on yum groupupdate).

[Read More]Join us for the 2015 Software Training Workshops

Registration is open for Unidata's 2015 Software Training Workshop. The workshop features Unidata's display and analysis packages IDV and AWIPS-II (with GEMPAK), as well as data access and management tools including the Local Data Manager (LDM) and the THREDDS Data Server (TDS). This year's workshop will also include a session on using the Python programming language with Unidata technologies.
The workshop will be held July 20 – August 5, 2015. Individual courses last from one to three days.
