The Unidata netCDF group is pleased to announce the 4.2 release of the netCDF C library.

This release contains performance enhancements, bug fixes, a few new features in utilities, and internal refactoring. It is designed to be compatible with existing netCDF data and software.

McIDAS-X Addendum v2009i / v2011.1

McIDAS-X Addendum v2009i / v2010.2 has been released to make changes to the Unidata McIDAS-X/-XCD 2009 distribution.

The cumulative set of bugfixes and enhancements to McIDAS-X is available to registered users in a gzip-compressed tar file.

Netcdf-Java library version 4.2.27

Netcdf-Java library version 4.2.27 is now released at:

https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/netcdf/netcdf-java-4/index.jsp

This is mostly a bug fix and supporting changes for TDS release 4.2.9. You are encouraged to use it for all things netCDF Java-ish.

All new development is now happening on version 4.3, for which there will be an alpha release very soon.
