Max Grover
2019 Summer Intern Max Grover
NSF Unidata Program Center
Max Grover joined the Unidata Program Center as a software development summer intern on May 20, 2019. Max graduated with Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University in May 2019, and will be attending the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign in the fall to study for a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Science. This summer he'll be working on adding functionality to the MetPy package, initially by adding a METAR parser to aid in the creation of surface plots.
Says Max:
I am excited to be a part of the Unidata team this summer because my life long passion is developing better data visualization tools for meteorological applications. My dream job is to be a weather data scientist. I enjoy working with large datasets and finding better ways to visualize them to answer questions relevant to the field. I hope my work this summer will make the data visualization process in Python easier for students who are new to programming.
