Sarah Ravellette

Sarah Ravellette joined the NSF Unidata Program Center as a student summer intern on May 18, 2026. This fall, Sarah will be a senior at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is pursuing a degree in Atmospheric Science. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in an interdisciplinary program involving civil engineering and atmospheric science, with a focus on understanding human reactions to extreme weather and safeguarding lives.

Says Sarah:

My first week at Unidata has been more than I could have imagined. Before joining this program, I knew very little about software engineering, and I have already gained tools that I can take with me into my future endeavors.
