GEMPAK 7.2.0

GEMPAK version 7.2.0 has been posted as source, linux64 RPM, and Solaris binary tarball.

Source files and binaries are available on the GEMPAK Download page.

Source files and additional information are also available at Unidata's GEMPAK GitHub site.

Changes include station and grib table updates, TDWR display fixes, VAD display fix in nmap2, FFFFF forecast hour template handling.

GEMPAK7 Release

GEMPAK7 is now available from Unidata.  32- and 64-bit Linux binary RPM packages are available, as are binary tarballs for x86 Solaris and OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

GEMPAK 6.10 Released

GEMPAK 6.10 is available on the Unidata download page

GEMPAK is provided as a source tarball package and as pre-built binaries for 32- and 64-bit linux, and 32-bit SunOS (x86).  Separate downloads for the external library package and tables are available. 

Updates from 6.8 to 6.10 include

  • Table entries for ABOM ACCESS and INPE COSMO decoding and display
  • Build support for gcc/gfortran 4.6
  • NAVGEM support
  • CFSR diabatic heating grid support
  • Updated dcgrib2 to further support non-US grids (GME and G3DVAR)
  • Fix for nmap2 SPF loading on OS X
  • NetCDF and xml2 library updates
  • Updated datatype.tbl entries for scatterometer ocean wind vector

GEMPAK 6.7.0 Released

GEMPAK 6.7.0 is now available at the download page https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/gempak/

Updates include new grib tables, further migration support for AWIPS2, updated maps, high-res OSCAT data support, GDDIAG bug fix and a fix to dcncprof for OS X.
