Subject: Re: noaaport header information

Hi All,

At the NWS Partners Workshop last April (see:
http://205.156.54.206/im/imup0200.htm), this issue was raised as a
recommendation to the NWS. Again, this month during a NOAA Priorities and
Planning Workshop, it was raised again. This is an issue that Unidata's Users
Committee, on behalf of the university and research community, along with
private industry, have asked for on several occasions. In fact, the FOS
catalog was an example that I provided for the NWS at the Partners Workshop.
It is an enormous task, but one that is of increasing importance to all users
of data and products. I will be following this issue very closely!

Thanks,
Linda
