NetCDF operators (NCO) version 4.6.1

Version 4.6.1 of the netCDF Operators (NCO) has been released. NCO is an Open Source package that consists of a dozen standalone, command-line programs that take netCDF files as input, then operate (e.g., derive new data, average, print, hyperslab, manipulate metadata) and output the results to screen or files in text, binary, or netCDF formats.

NetCDF 4.4.1

Version 4.4.1 of the NetCDF-C library is now available. This release provides official support for libhdf5 1.10.0.

Note: netCDF library 4.4.0 or earlier, combined with libhdf5 1.10.0 or greater, will generate netCDF-4 format files that cannot be read by software using earlier versions of libhdf5 (1.8.x), regardless of the version of netCDF.

NetCDF C++ 4.3.0

Version 4.3.0 of the NetCDF-C++ library is now available. Many thanks to the community members who contributed code to this release!

NetCDF Fortran 4.4.4

Version 4.4.4 of the NetCDF-Fortran library is now available. This release includes a number of enhancements including:

  • Explicit dependencies on NC_MAX_DIM constant for arrays has been removed and replaced with dynamically-allocated arrays.
  • Support for nc_open_mem() in the C library, allowing for the creation of 'in memory' files.
  • Fixed an issue with cmake-based builds.
