Hello,
My apologies for the delayed response. You can use the `ncdump` utility,
distributed with the netCDF libraries, to examine the contents and metadata for
a netCDF file. You can use the netCDF-Fortran libraries to read/write netCDF
data in Fortran, available from https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf-fortran
