Giovanni,

I downloaded the new NCAL images to my Linux machine at home and was
able to display and map them with no problems. Like the on machines at
work, I am running Unidata McIDAS Version 7.8x.

OK. It was just a thought.

>I'm not sure, but I already sent you instruction on how to come in.

Those are long gone.

I got into rossby and ran a session with no display. I verified that
I could not put a map on top of any of the NCAL images:

So, there is something fundamentally different in your 7.7x version and
the 7.8x version that I have been using to test here at home and at work.

I would say that the easiest thing to be done right now is to install
7.8 on rossby.

Even though I have noted this before, I want to restate that there
are problems with your images and whoever created them should be
made aware of this fact.

Mike,

I can help you upgrade to 7.8 if you like. The job, however, is no
harder than the upgrade you made to 7.7 yesterday. Please let me know
if you would like a hand.

Tom
