Dave,

>ok odd reverse should work :/

>int-dns1:/etc# nslookup climate ns1

>Server: localhost
>Address: 127.0.0.1
>
>227.136.203.192.in-addr.arpa name = climate.cod.edu
>136.203.192.in-addr.arpa nameserver = ns1.cod.edu
>136.203.192.in-addr.arpa nameserver = rs6000.cod.edu
>ns1.cod.edu internet address = 192.203.136.10
>rs6000.cod.edu internet address = 192.203.136.1
>int-dns1:/etc#

Here is what I get from my end:

(laraine.unidata.ucar.edu) 4165 % nslookup climate.cod.edu
Server: laraine.unidata.ucar.edu
Address: 128.117.140.62

*** laraine.unidata.ucar.edu can't find climate.cod.edu: Non-existent
host/domain

(laraine.unidata.ucar.edu) 4167 % nslookup 192.203.136.227
Server: laraine.unidata.ucar.edu
Address: 128.117.140.62

Name: climate.cod.edu
Address: 192.203.136.227

So the forward lookup fails for me, but the reverse works. This will
probably sort itself out as DNS boxes update themselves.

No matter for the McIDAS distribution. I FTPed the latest dist. to
weather and then FTPed that stuff to climate.

>ill get the f2c stuff up in just a few minutes here :)

I noticed that you had just installed the f2c stuff, so I cranked up
the McIDAS build. It is proceeding quite smoothly (and rapidly).
