Do the times overlap in the fields?  How are you doing the simple
difference?  Through the formula, or did you create your own jython
script.

If you only have one timestep per grid, it will show up on all "frames".
You could loop through them by toggling the visibility, but that's
probably not what you want to do.

I need more info on how you are doing the subtraction.  Are you picking
two times, subtracting them and then displaying the result at a
certain isosurface value?   What is it your are trying to show?  Maybe
there's another way to skin this cat.
