Hi Jim,

We offer other server technologies, ADDE, THREDDS,... THREDDS is used at 
NCEI...but these servers require install and maintenance.

Simple solutions like ftp via cron.

RAMADDA is another server and they are super easy to install and maintain, and 
they offer a nice browser interface.

Not knowing MDL's workflow hard to dial one in, but you could even "mail" it to 
MDL (via cron or some other automated process) and then they act on it.

..the options are plentiful, just need to see what works best for you and MDL.
