[IDD #PYG-707627]: Upgrading operating system for aeolus (SIO-UCSD)

OK.  I may get a chance to look at things this afternoon.  Otherwise, I
will try to attend to the LDM upgrade either Sunday or Tuesday (Monday
we are involved in an all-day planning meeting here at the UPC).
