The Unidata Program Center's two summer student interns — Kristen Pozsonyi from Millersville University and Alex Haberlie from Northern Illinois University — have come to the end of their summer appointments. Kristen Pozsonyi joined the Unidata Program Center team as a software development summer intern May 23rd, 2016. Kristen is currently working on her Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from Millersville University, with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Welcome Summer Intern Alex Haberlie

Alex Haberlie

Alex Haberlie joined the Unidata Program Center team as a software development summer intern on May 23rd, 2016. Alex is working on his PhD at Northern Illinois University, writing a dissertation on the climatology of mesoscale convective systems. Prior to beginning his dissertation, Alex earned his Masters, also at Northern Illinois University, in Geography with an emphasis in meteorology and his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin, Platteville.

Welcome Communications Intern Larissa Gordon

Larissa Gordon

Larissa Gordon joined the Unidata Program Center as a summer communication intern on March 14th, 2016. Larissa has just completed her Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in Evolutionary Biology; she also earned minors in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science and Creative Writing, Fiction Studies.

Her primary interest in her undergraduate career was the interaction between biota and climate, specifically in a marine environment.

Welcome Summer Intern Josh Clark

Josh Clark

The Unidata Program Center is happy to be hosting summer intern Josh Clark. Josh graduated from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in the spring of 2015 with a B.S. in Meteorology, and is headed to the graduate program at San Jose State's Fire Weather Research Lab this fall.

The Unidata Summer Internships offer undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to work with Unidata software engineers and scientists on projects drawn from a wide variety of areas in the atmospheric and computational sciences.
