I like this example. It looks like under Windows 10 imagemagick is not available (tried conda). So no animated gif. However, I am quite versed in creating avi/mp4 movies from a sequence of (satellite RGB)images. Now, I wonder how to write out the individual radar images here, preferably in png format.

If you really want to save out individual images, no animation module necessary, just plot everything in a for loop.
