[netCDF #XWK-875755]: cygwin 64 fail on make test

David,

I agree with Ward's recommendation to get netCDF with HDF5 and zlib for 
Cygwin from a Cygwin package manager.  The time spent installing the
package manager will be an investment that saves lots of time later
installing other packages.

Another possibility is to get the HDF5 binary for Windows from
http://www.hdfgroup.org/, or one of the Unidata netCDF Windows
binaries from http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/winbin.html
if you don't actually have to use Cygwin.

Sorry, I don't know anything about installing zlib under Cygwin, but I'm 
sure it's part of the HDF5 installation from the Cygwin package manager.
