Not sure what standards you intended to follow, but there no Convention
attribute.
Default parser doesnt identify the month coordinate as time. You can fix like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<netcdf xmlns="http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/namespaces/netcdf/ncml-2.2"
location="D:/test/wells/30YrAvgMo.nc">
<variable name="month">
<attribute name="_CoordinateAxisType" value="Time" />
</variable>
</netcdf>
( Better would be to use CF, and use climatological calendar, see section 4.4.1
of here:
http://cf-pcmdi.llnl.gov/documents/cf-conventions/1.4/cf-conventions.html
but we have not yet implemented this. but if you are writing long-term
archives, we should get on this.)
