[IDV #OEK-240250]: IDV - starting app.

Back to your original error:

What is the exact error message? Does it say what file?

As to your request for a CD of the installer: We are not set up to do 
distribution
of our software on physical media. A word of advice - if you have a slow network
connection you will not be able to readily use the IDV for accessing remote
data. Many of the data sets are quite large and will take some time to read over
a dial-up connection.
