Hi Greg,
Sorry for the delay - yesterday was a ski day.

This might be a transparency issue. The radar image might be occluding the 
text. 
Why don't you try, under "Location:" to use "Lat/Lon"  instead of "Lat/Lon/Alt"
and then make sure the "Z Position" is middle or top.
