Yes they are big - 36 million points. I am working on improving the memory 
usage and performance of reading in the data. e.g., on my laptop these files 
were taking
60 seconds to read, they now take 20 seconds.

However, creating the display hoses the IDV. I'll try to look into what is going
on with that.

The USGS DEMs are good but hard to find.  I'm not sure we can read the 
stuff from the seamless data distribution system or the SDTS data.

What is did was allow for the end point of the track display to be used as 
the location of a data probe. When we release this you will need to just turn
on "Sharing" in the track control and in the probe control. Add whatever
fields you want to the probe control (though I'm not sure you can add a flight
track, just the model data.) Then when you step the animation the flight track 
moves,
and this location is sent to the data probe.
