We have a couple of people running on OS-X.  You need to have the
latest version (I believe) which has the Java 3D support.  It should
work through webstart if you have the Java 3D support.  I don't know
the details, but I can find out if you need more info.

Hmmm, jdom.jar is there and I didn't get this problem when I 
tried to start it (that doesn't mean it's not a problem).  Can
you clear the application from your webstart cache and try again?
Or before that, can you try it again (if you haven't done that
already).

Are you starting this by clicking on the Unidata IDV webstart
page, or through some other mechanism?
