20050708:NEXRAD2/CRAFT Latency

Hi Guys,

I suspect we are referring to chinook.metoc.nrlmry.mil

If you go to:

http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/rtstats_sitebyfeed?NEXRAD2

and compare volumes and latencies with i.e. uni2.unidata.ucar.edu

You will see that we also experienced the latency of ~5000 seconds from a
couple of radars...I suspect the problem is at the regional HQ or the
radar itself..

Currently chinook looks pretty good for latencies on NEXRAD2, let's watch
and wait...SJSU is going off line for about 12 hours this weekend, do you
have a failover in place for NEXRAD2...?

If not, feel free to feed from:

idd.unidata.ucar.edu

during the outage.

Cheers,

Jeff
