[AWIPS #WPG-382085]: Issue i have with installing CAVE

Okay, that gives us a good starting point.  Do you know if your other software 
uses Java or
Python?
Because with our direct install steps, we have you set user and system 
variables to point to
our specific dependencies for Java and Python.  I could definitely see this 
causing a problem
with other software packages.

You could try "unsetting" those variables, found on our installation guide at 
step 3:
http://unidata.github.io/awips2/install/install-cave/#download-and-installation-instructions_2

Hopefully, that will make it so you can run the other software again.
If that is the case, then you might actually want to look into installing the 
Virtual Machine 
for CAVE.  Because this allows the entire environment to be contained 
"virtually" and won't
interfere with your native environment on your machine.  Those installation 
instructions can
be found here:
