Hi Vikram, For individual values, VisAD uses IEEE NaN to represent missing. You can set range values in FlatFields to missing as follows: FlatField f = ... float[][] values = field.getFloats(); values[0][j] = Float.NaN; // this sets a missing value field.setSamples(values); But do not put missing values (i.e., NaNs) into sample locations of Sets.
