Thanks for the detailed and helpful reply.

Option #2 looks what we are looking for, being able to add JVM Options
for the Thredds domain in Glassfish.

I look forward to 4.0 stable release at which time, I will deploy it
in a test environment and work with our developers to ensure that the
new version still works for them.
