[Read More]NetCDF operators (NCO) version 4.6.8

Version 4.6.8 of the netCDF Operators (NCO) has been released. NCO is an Open Source package that consists of a dozen standalone, command-line programs that take netCDF files as input, then operate (e.g., derive new data, average, print, hyperslab, manipulate metadata) and output the results to screen or files in text, binary, or netCDF formats.
The NCO project is coordinated by Professor Charlie Zender of the Department of Earth System Science, University of California, Irvine. More information about the project, along with binary and source downloads, are available on the SourceForge project page .

Siphon 0.5.0 has been released with API improvements as well as time-based filtering of datasets. Full releases notes are available on the GitHub Release page
Siphon packages are available for Conda on the conda-forge channel, and for pip from the Python Package Index.

Welcome Communications Intern Aubrey Kane

Aubrey Kane joined the Unidata Program Center as a communications summer intern on May 30, 2017. Aubrey is a senior at Regis University, majoring in mathematics with a minor concentration in communication. She plans to begin applying to graduate programs in statistics in the fall.
The Unidata Summer Internships offer undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to work with Unidata software engineers and scientists on projects drawn from a wide variety of areas in the atmospheric and computational sciences.
