[netCDF #ZJO-577290]: AIX linking error

Howdy Markus!

Try it without the -Df2cFortran flag as well. Just leave CPPFLAGS unset.

Make sure you do a make distclean and start from scratch.

This is known to work for both 3.6.2 and 3.6.3.
