20000404: GRDDISP valid date/time display

It would be useful to know the contents of MYDATA/GRIDS.1.  I just
tried plotting 6-hour forecast ETA grids from today and did not
experience the label problem you are reporting.

I guess that it could, but I wonder why the problem isn't consistent.
What happens when you try to plot a forecast grid from today's ETA
GRID file:

Yikes!  What does the following listing return:
