[LDM #MDC-227212]: LDM Compile Error

The output of the 'ls -alt bin/' command shows that the final step in
the installation process was not completed:

-rwxr-xr--. 1 ldm ldm  68960 Oct 22 16:24 ldmd
-rwxr-xr--. 1 ldm ldm  12696 Oct 22 16:24 hupsyslog

These should look like:

-rwsr-xr-- 1 root ustaff  52214 Oct 13 08:43 ldmd
-rwsr-xr-- 1 root ustaff  11130 Oct 13 08:43 hupsyslog

Note that the second has the setuid root bit and yours does not.

Given this, what needs to be done now is:

<as 'root'>
cd ~ldm/etc/ldm-6.13.12/src
make root-actions

After doing this, create the same long listing and verify that
the setuid root bit is set on 'ldmd' and 'hupsyslog'.  If they
are, you should be able to run the LDM with no problems.
