[LDM #OEP-635687]: question about primary and secondary data transfer

I'm afraid we (my office and the LDM user's we're paid to support) live in that 
world. Sorry.

Computers periodically run housekeeping routines. When that happens, latency 
can increase. There could also be transient congestion on your local network.

You could try modifying line 300 in file "protocol2/autoshift.c", then 
rebuilding and re-installing the LDM. Try the value 120 for two minutes (or 
whatever you want) and let me know it that helps. If it does, then I can add it 
to the LDM to-do list.
