Hi Reinaldo,
       I tried to figure out your problem here, I can see the spurious lines if 
I re project to the south american, and it does so on both 2.5 gfs and 0.5 gfs. 
Is it the error you were seeing?  I will check the code to find out what is 
wrong. The work around is to pan and zoom to the south american area.
