Dang, I thought that would work.  There are really no programatic
differences in the Data Source Selector from 1.0.1 to 1.1b2 that
I can recall.

Do you have another SuSE machine you can try this on?

What is the video card in this system and is it set to 8, 16, 
24 or 32 bit depth?

Same issue as the Windows machine (executable causing problems), however
I've never gotten an icon on my RedHat system when I install.  That's
weird.  I haven't figured out how to make a desktop icon point to
the runIDV script under Linux.  You might ask your sys admin if he
knows how (and then let me know ;-)).
