Hi Robert, 

You will need to decode the data from the IDD/LDM to make it GEMPAK readable. 
All decoders, and how to use them are included in the GEMPAK distribution.

The decoders are implemented in the pqact.conf file of the LDM which is 
located in:

~ldm/etc

What data (other than CMC GEM data) are you trying to bring into GEMPAK?
