Hi Gilbert,
re: topic area should be datastream, not LDM

No worries.
re: CONDUIT has the 1 degree GFS data

Quite frankly, I don't know. It would be easy enough to write
a pqact.conf action that filed the 1 degree data and then do a quick
'df' to find out how much data is involved. The other approach is
to run 'notifyme'; send the output to the a log file; and then parse
the log file entries to get the size of the messages.
Here are a two (commented out) actions that Chiz includes with the
GEMPAK releases:
# CONDUIT GFS grids
# ----------------------------------------------
#
# 1.0 degree GFS data
# 2.5 degree GFS data
#CONDUIT prod/gfs.*pgrb[^2]
# PIPE decoders/dcgrib2 -d data/gempak/logs/dcgrib2_CONDUITgfs.log
# -e GEMTBL=/home/gempak/NAWIPS/gempak/tables
#
# 0.5 degree GFS data
#CONDUIT prod/gfs.*pgrb2
# PIPE decoders/dcgrib2 -d data/gempak/logs/dcgrib2_CONDUITgfs2.log
# -e GEMTBL=/home/gempak/NAWIPS/gempak/tables
I included these so you can snag the patterns for your own pqact.conf action
or 'notifyme' invocation.

No worries.
