Important: Upcoming IP changes for ALL SSEC Data Center ADDE servers

All SSEC Data Center Users:

We are currently scheduled to have our network upgraded in early
August.  The result of this will be new IP addresses for all of our SSEC
Data Center servers.

We will send out the new list of server IP addresses as soon as we know
them.  We currently plan to send them out a couple of weeks prior to the
the changes.

User action:

Users that reference our servers by name, will have to run the McIDAS
command:
DATALOC HOST
to refresh their local Server/IP tables.  This will need to be done
shortly after the server's IP address that you access is updated.

Users that reference by IP will need to update each entry independently
with the new IP address as follows:
DATALOC  ADD  SERVER_GROUP  IP_ADDRESS
This also needs to be done AFTER the server's IP address that you access
is updated at SSEC.



In the upcoming weeks we will be publishing a list of the new IP
addresses and a schedule of days and times when each server's IP address
will be changed.

Note:  Some of these changes may also affect users behind firewalls.
Please check with your local system administrators to determine if any
actions need to be taken by them.
