CODIAC naming convention

Hi John, 

Old news, but it keeps coming up.

When people (or dogs) download data via ftp, CODIAC "assigns" unique file
names for the user to come and get data. This is creating headaches for
case study users. The data is file name specific for GEMPAK use and when
the name of the file is changed it no worky..So they need to gribdump and
find the header info and rename EVERY file, not very user friendly. Could
we create unique directories for case study downloads instead of unique
file names?
