Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Hi Mathieu, I have just discovered visad. And I am trying to package it for > debian (Linux system). Fantastic! What you are doing by going through the sources is probably what must be done, unfortunately. In particular I am looking at: > > $ head ./visad-2.0/dods/dap/DataDDSjava > This is part of the JDAP distribution from: http://opendap.org/java-DAP I could not find license information for JDAP or OpenDAP anywhere on their site. However, I found a Debian thread about OpenDAP being LGPL: http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/frankie-debian-org-OpenDAP-license-is-LGPL-td4823251.html So it sounds like people have gone through some of this pain before. Might be worth contacting them to find out the current status before proceeding too far with repackaging stuff.
