I certainly think VisAD is a powerful system as it is now and it has great potential. I hope VisAD gains recognition its trength deserves from the general scientific community, even if my work has nothing to do with it, because I think it's a nice system. I know about many systems in the history of software that everyone who understood them said they were great but these systems never gained a broad user base and eventually faded into oblivion. I hope it won't happen to VisAD.
