Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Does the virtual capability, or the external link capability, support an HTTP URL? That is, would it be possible to construct a virtual dataset that is spread over multiple Web Object Storage locations in the cloud? I have been wondering that myself. Is there anyone from HDF that can answer that? There are settings in HDF5 API that can set how the library should behave. It can either stop at the first missing source dataset or it can continue to the last. https://www.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/doc/RM/RM_H5P.html#Property-SetVirtualView https://www.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/doc/RM/RM_H5P.html#Property-SetVirtualPrintfGap -Aleksandar _______________________________________________ NOTE: All exchanges posted to Unidata maintained email lists are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and made publicly available through the web.
