Re: test hdf5 files

I can create some HDF5 files from WRF-HDF5 IO modules. I will let you know where you can get those files in later emails.

These are sample NASA files that have been converted to HDF5. The fit your criteria of real-world and important, although their original format was HDF4.

Bob or Elena, do you know if we have any sample files from the HIRDLS project? If not, we could ask Cheryl for some.

I need test hdf5 files for my java library. (ive already looked at the sample ones on the HDF5 site).

If anyone has examples of important real-world datasets written in HDF5, can you send me a pointer to them? Or just a URL i can find them at ?
You can try working with the HDF5 files in the tools/testfiles directory
of our distribution, there's lots of weird files in there. The only "real-
world" one is the tsaf.h5 file, though.
Bob and/or Kent can probably point you at lots of real HDF5 files from
NASA though.

   Quincey
that would be useful, Bob or Kent do you know of any good sites??
