Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
I'm also considering a physical move to a higher bandwidth data center on campus. That, too, will be a better place for conditioned power and longer-term backup power.
I'd just like to get past this. It's eaten almost 3 weeks of our time, and that's A) too long for us to have to spend to get something back right, and B) too long to inconvenience our down-stream users.
Thanks for the encouragement, Gilbert! gerry Gilbert Sebenste wrote:

We've now replaced, if my count is correct, 5 supposedly protected hard disks, and had several memory failures.I had that happen 3-4 years ago, and it felt like every server hated my guts, and I lost downstream sites as a result of the downtime (this was before LDM automagically failed over as well as it does now). Hang in there, Gerry, I know how it is, and I'm rooting for ya!Gilbert******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ********(My opinions only!) ****** Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** E-mail: sebenste@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx *** web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu *********************************************************************************_______________________________________________ ldm-users mailing list ldm-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFor list information or to unsubscribe, visit: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/
