Hello IDDers,

motherlode will be down for 15 minutes (in theory) at 23Z on Monday,
12/17 in order to update the kernel.  If all goes well there will be no
need to fail over.  If something goes wrong and motherlode is down for
close to an hour or longer, downstream sites should fail over.
