Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.

On another note, does NCDC archived level 3 data require decoding? The files I have attempted to load are not working natively with GEMPAK (Previous experience says level 2 should work fine).

It should just-work(tm). Did you rename the files to properly match the directory structure and file naming that GEMPAK expects?

For example:

$ ls $RAD/NIDS/DMX/N0R/N0R_20150428_2028
/data/gempak/nexrad/NIDS/DMX/N0R/N0R_20150428_2028
