Hi Robb, I did forward your mail to our GRIB expert, I got the following response: I guess this data has been reprocessed after receipt from ECMWF and the headers have been remade. Centre = 98 = ECMWF. Subcentre = 0 = unused. Strictly, 0 = WMO secretariat so the code should be 255 (missing) but I have never seen this done. Table version number = 1. This may be due to the header adjustment. ECMWF tables are in the range 128 upwards. Hope that helps, Joerg
