Rick,

Currently work is being taken to convert GRIB files into the AWIPS format.
I'll forward the lastest email on it.

Institution: McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Package Version: latest GEMPAK and AWIPS versions
Operating System: IRIX 6.2
Hardware Information: not applicable(?)
Inquiry: To whom this may concern (I'm guessing Steve Chizwell or Robb Kambic),

I've searched the previous posts, but to no avail yet. My situation
might be unusual. A while ago, we found an interesting case study and
archived the model grids and observations in GEMPAK format that arrived
via the LDM. Now, we're hoping to convert these to the particular
format of netCDF that the present version of AWIPS is using. The idea
here is to re-create an operational AWIPS environment. I have examples
of both the source GEMPAK and target netCDF files, but I'm wondering
if this conversion has been attempted already. Any help would be much
appreciated.

Thank you,
Rick Danielson
