[netCDF #XNR-979092]: Problems building Netcdf 4.0 or 3.6.3 on 64-bit

Wonderful!

I suggest you use the daily snapshot release:
ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/snapshot/netcdf-4-daily.tar.gz

There have been some bug fixes since the 4.0 release, and I am trying very hard
to get the 4.0.1 release out real soon now...

Also, make sure you run make check on netcdf for all target machines!
