[netCDF #XQV-656680]: make check one test failed

Hi Jason,

Do you have a program named "wc" installed in your PATH so that it is
found before the utility program in /usr/gnu/bin/wc or /usr/bin/wc?
To check this, you could run the command "which wc" or "type wc",
depending on whether you use a csh-like shell or a POSIX shell such as
ksh or bash. If it shows the "wc" command is an alias or shell
function or is found in a local directory, then that is the problem.
Our test assumes "wc" is the standard Unix word count program, so if
not, the test fails.

If that's not the problem, could you please change to the netCDF
ncdump source directory and run the following two commands, and email
the output of the second command?

  ../ncgen/ncgen -b small.cdl
  wc -c < small.nc

Thanks!
