Howdy Andy!
Could you go into the nctest directory, and comment out these two lines in
driver.c:
ncopts &= ~NC_FATAL; /* make errors nonfatal */
ncopts &= ~NC_VERBOSE; /* turn off error messages */
Once those lines are commented out, do a make check in the nctest directory and
send me the output. Hopefully it will include more information!
