[netCDF #IWD-582006]: NetCDF 3.0 binary for LINUX x86

Howdy Leanderson,

The oldest source distribution I can find on the netCDF ftp archive 
(ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/old/) is

 netcdf-3.3.1.tar.Z     1182 KB         11/23/1999      12:00:00 AM

What is your programming environment (that is, what compiler do you use? g77, 
gfortran?)

Have you tried getting the latest version of netCDF (3.6.2)? It is fully 
backward compatible, so it should work just fine with your netCDF 3.0 code.
